Atanu is a Partner, Executive Vice President and Business Head – Eastern Hemisphere at Intellect Design Arena Limited. He is responsible for driving growth, customer success, and strategic transformation initiatives across APAC, Middle East, and Africa.

He is a global banking technology leader with more than three decades of experience in building, scaling, and transforming banking software businesses across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia. Atanu’s career reflects a continuous journey spanning both Polaris Financial Technology and Intellect Design Arena. He joined Polaris in 2000 as part of the early team responsible for expanding the company’s banking product business across Asia and the Middle East. Following the demerger of Polaris’ products business and the formation of Intellect Design Arena in 2014, he continued to play a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s global growth strategy and market leadership.

Over the past 25+ years, Atanu has successfully established, scaled, and transformed banking technology businesses across Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia. He has partnered with leading Tier-1 global banks and premier regional financial institutions to deliver transformational initiatives spanning Core Banking, Transaction Banking, Enterprise Payments, Liquidity Management, Lending, and Digital Banking.

Initial years of his career, Atanu held roles with Olivetti⁠, GES Technologies-Singapore, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, contributing to some of the earliest banking automation and large-scale technology transformation initiatives in India & SAARC.
