Hasan Khan

Hasan Khan is a highly respected Corporate and Investment Banking executive with more than 30 years of experience across Africa and the Middle East. He has held senior leadership roles at Standard Bank Group, Citibank, and Standard Chartered Bank, with deep expertise across transaction banking, corporate strategy, digital transformation, cross-border operations, and client-led growth.

Most recently, Hasan served as Chief Executive: Corporate & Investment Banking – Africa Regions at Standard Bank Group, where he led strategy and execution across 17 African markets. In this role, he oversaw one of the Group’s most strategically important portfolios, contributing over 60% of Standard Bank’s Corporate and Investment Banking revenues.

He brings deep expertise across corporate and transaction banking, digital financial services, and emerging market strategy.

Throughout his career, Hasan has built and led high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams, driven large-scale business transformation, and shaped market, client, and product strategies across complex emerging markets. He is recognised for his ability to combine deep banking expertise with a strong understanding of regulatory complexity, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable shareholder value creation.

Hasan is also the Co-founder & CEO of Quantum Leap, a digital transaction banking platform focused on developing innovative trade and transaction banking solutions across African markets. He brings deep expertise across corporate and transaction banking, digital financial services, and emerging market strategy.
