Sanjeeb Chaudhuri

Sanjeeb Chaudhuri is a senior Board Chairman and former financial services CEO with over four decades of deep governance, technology, and operating experience across global banking, consumer markets, wealth management, and fintech. He is currently Chairman of IDFC First Bank, one of India’s fastest growing private banks with over 38 million customers and 50,000 employees.

Sanjeeb has been CEO of Retail and Commercial Banking for Citigroup (EMEA). He has been Regional Head for India and South Asia for Consumer, Commercial and Private Banking, and Group Head and Global Chief Marketing Officer at Standard Chartered Bank. He has had direct accountability for complex, multi-country P&Ls across a global footprint and leveraged digital transformation at scale. IDFC First Bank’s mobile banking application has been rated No 1 in India and No 2 in the world by Forrester

Sanjeeb’s prior experience has been at senior roles at Procter and Gamble, Colgate-Palmolive and Unilever. He is a Global Mentor at the Columbia Business School Center for Technology Management and Northeastern Business School Center for Digital Leadership.  He serves on the Board of Trustees at United Way Mumbai, one of India’s largest voluntary organisations in the social sector.
