Banesh Prabhu

Banesh Prabhu is the CEO of IntellectAI, leading the company’s global strategy across AI-native banking, wealth management, insurance, and capital markets platforms. A fintech industry veteran and pioneer in technology and operations management, Banesh has spent nearly four decades driving large-scale transformation initiatives across global financial services institutions.

An early advocate of AI-first enterprise transformation, Banesh recognised well before the mainstream AI wave that artificial intelligence would fundamentally reshape the future operating model of financial institutions and the future of work itself. Under his leadership, IntellectAI has pioneered AI-native architecture frameworks, agentic AI systems, and AI-driven delivery methodologies designed to help institutions move beyond traditional digital transformation toward intelligent, adaptive, and AI-augmented enterprises.

Banesh has managed senior global responsibilities in Operations and Technology for over 38 years, including 23 years at Citibank, where he was responsible for operations and technology servicing across 55+ international markets. During this period, he pioneered the creation of several global Centers of Excellence for Operations and Technology, implementing digital services and risk management capabilities at scale across global markets. He served as a member of the Citigroup Global Consumer Planning Group, the Global Information Technology Council, and the Global Operations Council.

In his previous role, Banesh was a member of the Executive Committee and Head of the Technology and Operations Group at Siam Commercial Bank, one of Thailand’s leading universal banking groups. He has also served as a Senior Advisor with Boston Consulting Group and continues to mentor startups, collaborate with major universities in technology management, and advise emerging fintech companies and investment initiatives globally.
