Arun Founded Intellect Design with the dream of delivering world-class IT Products, Platforms and Technologies from India for the Global Financial Sector. Working with Global Leaders in this space for over thirty years as Nucleus Software and Founder of Polaris Software provided him with domain expertise, which was blended with superior technology in realising this vision.

Intellect, an enterprise FinTech company in Banking, Insurance, Wealth, Capital Markets, Procurement Industry and Retail Sector, selling enterprise grade products and platforms in 57 countries, covering 325 leading Global Banks and Financial Institutions worldwide.

Arun is a strong advocate of Design Thinking, actively promoting its adoption across industry, academia, government, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem. He views Design Thinking not only as a methodology but as a powerful science and philosophy capable of driving meaningful impact on both individual and organizational performance.

Combining his deep expertise in FinTech with his commitment to Design Thinking, Arun led the launch of eMACH.ai in February 2023, a groundbreaking, composable, and comprehensive open finance platform founded on First Principles Thinking. This platform enables global banks to radically simplify their technology landscapes across banking and insurance.

Further advancing this strategic vision, Intellect introduced Purple Fabric—the world’s first Open Business Impact AI Platform—purpose-built to deliver transformative outcomes aligned with the core priorities of large enterprises.

Arun, as an Institution Maker, has founded: 

• School of Design Thinking – focused on shaping the thinking of young minds and professionals across different sectors through Design The Thinking© philosophy;

• Mission Samriddhi – a social impact enterprise dedicated to the holistic development of rural India, through the design and development of projects that are sustainable and capable of scale to positively impact the larger population.
• Ullas Trust – recognises academic excellence in students from economically challenged sections of our society and encourages a ‘can do’ spirit, for them to chase their dreams and aspirations.

Arun has authored books, namely “UnMukt: Science and Art of Design Thinking”, “Digital: The Art of The Possible” and “From Teenager to Achiever: The Power of 5 Minds”.

As a promoter of entrepreneurship, Arun is also involved in several Government forums and educational ecosystems. He is sought after as an advisor and also participates, guides and nurtures various bodies to enhance the spirit of innovation in the FinTech space. He also served as Chairperson of the Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Ranchi from 2020 to 2023.

He has been honoured with numerous awards, reflecting his outstanding achievements and contributions in his field. Prominent amongst them are Dronacharya Award by TiECON Chennai, Lifetime Achievement Award by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Amity Excellence Award by Amity Education Group.
