Ullas Trust

Founded in 1997, Ullas Trust is Intellect’s flagship education initiative dedicated to identifying and nurturing academic excellence among students from economically challenged backgrounds.
The program supports students from Classes 9 to 12 through scholarships, mentoring, workshops and exposure opportunities—helping them build confidence, aspiration and life skills beyond academics.
Ullas Trust also collaborates with community initiatives to strengthen learning environments in rural schools through libraries, science kits and academic infrastructure.

Mission Samriddhi is a holistic rural development initiative focused on enabling communities to lead their own progress. The program works across Gram Panchayat clusters using a Community Development Framework (CDF) that integrates social, economic, ecological and institutional development.

Ullas Trust, a Polaris Foundation social initiative, was established in 1997 with the vision of integrating Intellect’s associates into a larger purpose-driven community—one that finds fulfilment in working closely with young minds across the country.
Ullas focuses on recognising academic excellence among students from economically challenged backgrounds, while nurturing confidence, aspiration, and a strong “can-do” spirit.
Very early in its evolution, Ullas identified adolescence as the most critical intervention phase, and therefore concentrates its efforts on students from Classes 9 to 12, when the right guidance can shape lifelong outcomes.

Together, they identify challenges, co create solutions, and build local capacity
ensuring that initiatives are owned, sustained, and scaled by the community itself.
