About Ullas Trust
Ullas Trust (A Polaris Foundation social initiative) was started in 1997 with an aim to integrate Intellect’s Associates into a larger community, where they could enjoy the bliss of working with young minds in the country.
The primary motive of Ullas is to recognise academic excellence in students from economically-challenged sections of our society and encourage a ‘can do’ spirit, for them to chase their dreams and aspirations. Very early in its evolution, Ullas decided to focus its energy on students during the most vulnerable stage in their journey – adolescence! This would translate into students from Class (Grade) 9th to 12th.

Roadmap of an Ullas Scholar
While Ullas does award annual merit scholarships to the students, the vision was very clearly to go beyond scholarships and give a head-start to the Young Achievers by:
- Encouraging them to dream big and with conviction, through annual workshops
- Empowering students with self-enrichment programs during weekends
- Providing students with a “touch and feel” of the corporate environment
- Giving them a unique opportunity to be mentored by successful IT professionals

Cluster Development Program
Mission Samriddhi applied Design Thinking to co-create the Community Development Framework (CDF) for the holistic and sustainable development of local communities and applied it to design the Cluster Development Programme (CDP), keeping a cluster of Gram Panchayats as the basic unit of development.
The CDF which comprises of Personal, Social, Economic, Ecological and Institutional Development of the local communities is implemented in the chosen clusters through the Cluster Development Program (CDP) which is essentially a partnership between the Community, our local Development Accelerator (on ground implementation CSO) and Mission Samriddhi. CDP is designed to understand the local issues, prioritize them and implement solutions which are ultimately owned and sustained by the community. Capacity building of the local communities is therefore an important element of CDP so that if the local institutions are fully developed , then they are in a position to chart their own destiny.
In a nutshell, CDP is nothing but CDF in action – cohesive action amongst all interested stakeholders for the holistic development of the community.
